At intervals, thin bands interrupt the plain ground with flecks of pale yellow, coral pink, slate blue, and touches of navy and mustard, arranged like intermittent stitched threads rather than a continuous pattern. The detail inset at lower right magnifies one such band, revealing the individual colored filaments woven through the otherwise neutral field.

The surface is composed of narrow horizontal bands in a warm tan tone, each separated by fine dark striations that give the ground a subtly ribbed texture. At irregular intervals, thin flecks of color interrupt the striping - dashes of pink, mustard, pale blue, and cream - scattered like broken threads rather than forming a repeating pattern. A detail inset in the lower corner shows the close weave structure, revealing how these colored slivers sit flush within the banded ground.

The surface presents an open, unpatterned field of tightly woven horizontal ridges in mingled grey tones, broken at intervals by thin pick-up lines of contrasting color. These accent rows introduce small irregular flecks of mustard yellow, ivory, and a occasional dark teal or navy bead, spaced unevenly across the width. A detail inset in the lower corner magnifies one such banded row, showing the alternating colored ticks set against the grey ground.

A deep indigo-black ground is crossed at regular intervals by thin horizontal bands of tiny multicolored flecks - turquoise, violet, coral, mustard, and jade - set against the dark surface like scattered beads. The detail inset shows these fleck-lines more closely, revealing an irregular, almost speckled rhythm rather than a repeating pattern. Between the banded lines the field is left plain and unbroken, emphasizing the contrast between the saturated dark ground and the flashes of color.

The PePe chair in collaboration with FJ Hakimian makes use of our woven leather, made from weaving offcuts collected in factories to be rewoven. The result is a soft, textured backrest framed by a thick leather piping surround held in place by the soft curves of the brass frame. The comfortable seat is upholstered in FJ Hakimian organic cotton. Simple, subtle chic.
