Our curtain and shade cloths are both handwoven and loom-woven. The handwoven cloths are woven in the Philippines, Italy, South Africa and Japan, with silks from Lake Como, in cotton, silk, abaca, mohair, linen and hemp; the abaca and bamboo weaves filter light rather than block it, softening a room's brightness while keeping it. The loom-woven cloths come from the same carefully chosen mills in consistent runs and wider widths, suited to a run of windows dressed in one cloth with no shift in color or texture from one to the next. Standard widths are listed where they are recorded, and cloths can be specified for curtains, Roman shades or panel screens.
