The field is left open in a soft palette of sage, olive, and pale gray, populated by a procession of nude and semi-draped figures rendered in flattened, angular forms. Skin tones range from pale cream to deep russet brown, with accents of coral red, mustard yellow, and slate blue in draped fabrics and hair. Slender stylized plants and a pair of birds fill the spaces between the figures, and a narrow black stripe runs down the right edge before the fringed selvage.

"HEZAR JERIB" COLLECTION

The field is organized into four vertical panels of unequal width, each woven with fine horizontal striations that catch the light differently as the eye moves across the surface. Tones shift subtly from pale ivory to warm straw and honey gold, with each panel showing its own gradient rather than a uniform hue. There is no border or central medallion; the composition relies entirely on the interplay of these plain, banded fields set side by side.

The field is divided into four vertical panels of undyed ground, each shifting in tone from pale cream to warm tan through subtle horizontal striations. Both narrow ends are capped by solid dark brown bands, their upper edges cut in a soft, uneven wave rather than a straight line. The panel seams run cleanly from top to bottom, with no other ornament interrupting the plain surface.

The field is organized into a checkerboard grid of alternating squares in undyed ivory and warm chestnut brown, arranged in five rows of three across the length. Each block is left plain, without secondary motifs, so the composition depends entirely on the contrast and gentle irregularity of the block edges, which waver slightly rather than forming perfectly straight lines. There is no border framing the design; the checkered pattern runs to the outer edges, giving the surface an open, unbounded quality.

Swedish Flat Weave Technique

The ivory ground carries an all-over lattice of small stepped diamonds in dark brown, brick red, dusty pink, mustard, and slate blue, each cluster centered on a tiny square of contrasting color. A narrow guard stripe of diagonal chevrons in the same red, brown, blue, and gold tones frames the top and bottom edges. The pattern repeats with quiet regularity, broken only by faint horizontal striations running through the field.
