Savonnerie Style

A soft blue-gray field carries an all-over repeat of gilt scrolling foliate cartouches, each enclosing a small figural or animal vignette in coral, ochre, and muted rose, with birds, fish, and other creatures appearing amid the interlaced acanthus forms. Rows of these medallion-like clusters alternate with cream and gold connecting scrollwork, creating a dense lattice effect across the surface. The composition is framed by a plain, unadorned terracotta-red border with a narrow blue-gray inner guard stripe.

The field is organized as an all-over golden trellis enclosing small blue diamonds each centered with a pale rosette, the lattice interrupted at center by a radiating palmette medallion in cream and rose tones and at each corner by a garland of pink and peach blossoms with green foliage. A narrow dark meandering vine border edges the composition, framed by a plain camel-toned outer band, with a small cartouche motif marking the mid-point of the top and bottom borders.

A deep indigo field carries a symmetrical lattice of scrolling vinework in olive green, ivory and rust, punctuated by paired medallions and stylized palmettes arranged in mirrored rows along the vertical axis. A central rosette anchors the composition, flanked by curling ivory hook-forms and small octagonal cartouches filled with geometric fretwork. The wide rust-red border is framed by narrower cream and indigo guard stripes filled with dense floral vinery, and the piece is bordered on all sides in a consistent repeating design.

A rust-toned field carries a dense, all-over lattice of scrolling vines, palmettes, and small floral heads rendered in ivory, slate blue, and sage green, with no distinct central medallion but a faint gathering of blossoms near the middle. The main border, on a deep teal ground, repeats a procession of large serrated leaves and rosettes flanked by narrow ivory guard stripes patterned with a fine trailing vine. Color throughout is warm and earthy, dominated by the contrast between the copper field and the dark teal frame.

An ivory ground carries an allover lattice of scrolling vine and palmette motifs rendered in rust, soft blue, and ochre, with small rosettes filling the diamond compartments. The main border on a brick-red ground repeats a rhythmic palmette-and-vine pattern, flanked by narrower guard stripes with serrated ivory and blue accents. The corners resolve the border design cleanly, and the field pattern runs uninterrupted to the edges without a central medallion.

An ivory field carries a dense medallion-and-vine lattice worked in muted gold, sage, and dusty rose, with pairs of small birds tucked among the split-leaf palmettes near the top and bottom of the central axis. A slender gold guard stripe separates the field from a wide gray-lavender border filled with rounded floral roundels alternating with sprays of blossoms, all repeated in a narrower matching stripe at the outer edge. The palette stays soft and consistent throughout, with no cartouche, signature, or inscription visible.

The dark navy field is filled with a dense, repeating lattice of small floral rosettes rendered in ochre, rust, and cream, forming an all-over herati-like pattern that runs uninterrupted to the rust-colored spandrels in each corner. A wide rust-brown border carries a meandering vine with palmettes and serrated leaves, flanked by narrower ivory and navy guard stripes filled with small blossoms. The overall palette combines deep indigo, warm rust, ochre, and pale cream tones.

An ivory ground carries an all-over lattice of small floral sprays and slender vase-and-flower motifs, repeated in a regular grid across the field in muted rose, sage green, and steel blue. A wide indigo border filled with scrolling floral vinework encloses the field, framed by a series of narrower guard stripes in cream, rust, and blue.

An open field of warm terracotta, largely unadorned, is anchored by a single small lozenge medallion in ivory, sage green, and rust, rendered with delicate palmettes and serrated leaves. The wide border on a muted sage ground carries a running vine of rosettes and palmettes in ochre, rust, and cream, framed by narrow guard stripes of the same palette. The expanse of open ground left around the medallion is the notable feature, giving the composition a spare, quiet balance against the more densely patterned border.

Mahal

The field, a deep indigo ground, carries an overall herati-type lattice of small palmettes and serrated leaves repeated in tight vertical rows, rendered in rust, ochre, and faded rose. A narrow ivory guard stripe frames the field, followed by a wider border of angular blossoms and vinework in brick red and dark navy, with an outer band of small rosettes in muted gold and blue.
