Wool

KUVA (Variation C)

Wool, plant fiber (hemp) and silk

An open, unadorned ivory field is left entirely plain, its width flanked by two narrow vertical bands of undulating zigzag lines. Each band runs a tight sequence of black, rust-red, and pale teal wavy stripes, rendered in short, sharp zigzags that repeat evenly from top to bottom. A plain taupe border, slightly mottled in tone, frames the composition on all four sides.

KUVA (Variation B)

Wool, plant fiber (hemp) and silk

An open ivory field, entirely undecorated, is enclosed by a series of concentric wavy lines rendered in rust, indigo, and soft teal, each tracing a rhythmic zigzag around the perimeter. Beyond these scalloped bands lies a plain taupe border, and a narrow outer stripe frames the whole composition. The palette stays restrained and even, with no additional motifs interrupting the calm expanse of the ground.

Serapi

A rust-red field centers on an elongated medallion with a small navy diamond core filled with a rosette, flanked by scrolling gold and pale-blue arabesque forms that stretch toward the top and bottom of the field. Ivory spandrels at each corner carry loose floral vinework and pairs of large split-leaf palmette scrolls in navy, olive and rust, while the wide dark navy border is filled with repeating rosette and floral clusters framed by narrower guard stripes of pale blue and tan floral vining.

Oushak

An ivory field carries a symmetrical lattice of rosettes, palmettes, and curling vine tendrils rendered in brick red, olive green, soft blue, and mustard. The wide border repeats stylized animal-like scrolling forms on a dark chocolate ground, flanked by narrower guard stripes of small blossoms and a serrated leaf band closest to the field. A visible vertical seam runs down the center of the field where two panels meet.
