Aubusson

An open pale celadon field carries a central floral bouquet spray anchored by pendant sprigs above and below, with loose scattered flower clusters in soft pink, blue, and gold floating across the otherwise plain ground. A zigzagging tan band traces the border's angular path, itself framed by a delicate meandering floral vine on the same faded ground tone.

BIRDS OF PARADISE

Double Cream, Pile, Alpaca Wool

The field is laid out as an open ivory ground crossed by a fine diamond lattice rendered in thin brown line, leaving each cell empty. A wide surrounding border repeats a procession of perched birds - long-necked waders and parrot-like species in teal, ochre and rust - alternating with small potted or flowering plant motifs, all set against the same pale ground. The corners are marked by a bird paired with a flowering shrub, and the whole composition is framed by a plain dark line before the outer margin.

Soumak Runner

A long, narrow runner with an open, unadorned field composed entirely of fine horizontal striations in varying tones of ivory, sand, and pale beige, interrupted at intervals by thin bands of deeper taupe and charcoal brown. There is no border to speak of, the striped structure running edge to edge along the full length, with the detail inset showing the irregular, hand-drawn quality of the individual color bands.

Swedish Wall Hanging

The field is organized as an all-over checkerboard grid, small squares alternating between olive-green and dark brown, interrupted at intervals by horizontal bands striped in coral, cream, and rose. There is no separate border framing the composition; the plaid-like grid runs edge to edge, finishing in loose warp fringe at both ends. The palette stays consistently muted and earthy, with the brighter striped bands providing the only accent of color contrast.

Tapestry

A dark olive ground is filled with a dense scrolling arrangement of stylized foliage, flowering stems, and small birds, over which six costumed figures stand in pairs across three registers. Each figure is paired with a curling banderole bearing inscribed lettering above their heads, the costumes rendered in rust, salmon, cream, and blue tones against the deep green field. The composition is symmetrical in layout though each figure and inscription differs, giving the impression of a courtly procession set within a garden.

Khotan

The field is covered edge to edge with an interlocking lattice of cream fretwork forming small compartments over a coral-orange ground. A slim black meandering-scroll band and a coral guard stripe frame this field, giving way to a broad golden-yellow border filled with alternating rosette medallions and stylized floral sprays rendered in muted lavender and cream. The outermost edge is finished with a narrow dark red stripe.
