The field is left entirely open, a plain expanse of pale straw-toned ground broken only near its lower edge by a solid band of deep brown. Between the two zones runs a narrow transition of thin parallel lines - a slender rust-brown stripe followed by a row of small raised ivory dots - before the brown field takes over completely. The inset detail shows the tight, even grid of the weave and the slightly textured, beaded appearance of that dotted line.

An open ground shifts gently from pale cream at the top to a warmer straw tone below, divided by a single narrow band woven in a slightly deeper gold. A circular inset magnifies this transition, revealing the fine crosswise ribbing where the two tones meet along a thin decorative cord. The surface throughout is otherwise unpatterned, its interest carried entirely by the subtle gradation of color and the texture of the weave.

An open, unadorned field in a warm oatmeal tone gives way to a solid band of slate blue near the lower edge, the two zones separated by a single irregular line and a row of small pale beading. A magnified detail circle highlights the plain, evenly spaced grid of the surface where the two color fields meet, showing the beaded line running parallel to the transition.

The surface presents an all-over horizontal ribbing, a fine, even striation running left to right across the entire ground with no border or field distinction. Tonal variation moves subtly between pale ivory and warm taupe, giving the flat expanse a quiet, textured shimmer rather than a distinct pattern. The detail inset shows the close, regular banding at closer range, confirming the texture as the sole decorative interest of the piece.
A cushion front worked as a pastoral vignette: a seated woman in a pink dress and pale bonnet holds a shepherd's crook amid grazing sheep, set against a blue sky and green landscape with a slender tree at right. The scene is framed by an irregular cartouche of tan and brown scrollwork suggesting drapery or foliage, bordered by a plain dark ground finished with a twisted cord edge and tasseled corners at each end.
