A shaped panel, cut with scalloped shoulders to a chair-back silhouette, worked on a cream ground with a central spray of carnations and a large rose in shades of crimson, dusty pink, mustard, and burgundy, set among green and sage foliage on curling brown stems. Flanking vertical borders carry a twisted ribbon motif in dark and pale green over a brown ground line, interspersed with small sprigs of red and yellow buds.
An irregularly shaped panel with a fawn ground, its outline following the natural contour of an unfinished edge rather than a straight border. A single rose bush rises from a rocky mound at the base, its dark branches spreading across the surface in a fan of red and pink blossoms, buds, and green and mustard-toned leaves. The absence of a framing border allows the flowering shrub to fill the field completely, reaching to the irregular perimeter on all sides.
