An open, gauze-like ground alternates narrow vertical bands of pale ivory with darker charcoal-grey stripes, the loosely spaced structure giving the surface an airy, semi-transparent quality. A circular inset in the lower right offers a magnified detail of the same striped pattern, revealing the crossing threads more closely. The overall palette is restrained to grey and off-white, with no additional motifs or border treatment visible.

The surface is composed of tight horizontal ridges in pale ivory, interrupted at irregular intervals by small flecks and dashes of amber, teal, slate blue, and charcoal. These scattered marks form a loose, speckled pattern without a defined field or border, giving the overall impression of a mottled, all-over texture. A magnified detail circle in the lower corner shows the same flecked arrangement at closer range, emphasizing the irregular placement of the colored accents against the neutral ground.

The textile is gathered into deep, irregular folds that catch the light unevenly, throwing some surfaces into shadow while others glint with a soft sheen. Its surface carries a fine, striated texture running in close, wavering lines, giving an overall mottled brown and grey-black tonality that shifts with each fold. A narrow finished edge is visible along one corner, showing a tight machine-stitched border where the fabric comes to a point.

55% Silk, 45% Wild Silk

The surface is folded into soft vertical pleats, catching light so that the diagonal striations shift from pale ivory to deeper taupe across each ridge. Fine, closely set lines run in a consistent diagonal direction, broken here and there by small irregular flecks and knots that interrupt the otherwise even striped rhythm. No border or field motif is visible in this close view, only the continuous textured pattern folding in and out of shadow.
