The surface is composed entirely of narrow horizontal bands in alternating tones of ivory, tan, and deep brown-black, running edge to edge without a distinct border. A detail inset shows the tight, ribbed structure of the striping more closely, revealing slight irregularities in width and color transition from row to row. Both top and bottom terminate in loose, twisted fringe left in dark and undyed strands, and the flatwoven ground shows the plain over-under structure at the selvage where a few looped edges remain visible.

A closely woven sample section, entirely composed of narrow horizontal bands in dark brown, soft gray, and natural straw tones, alternating in a steady rhythm across the surface. The selvages on either side show a firm, tightly bound edge, while the top and bottom terminate in loose, dark fringe left uncut. A magnified detail circle set into the lower right of the image highlights the fine, ribbed texture of the banding and the crisp alternation of the flat-woven ground.
