Almond Mohair

An open field of plain undyed surface, its tones shifting quietly between straw, oatmeal, and pale gray in fine horizontal striations. No border or central motif interrupts the expanse, leaving the field entirely unadorned. A detail inset at lower right reveals a close basketweave-like structure with visible ribbing and pale warp threads running vertically.

Vintage Kilim Compositions

The field is composed entirely of vertical stripes, alternating broad bands of undyed ivory with narrower bands of deep brown, some paired with a thin brown line running alongside. There is no border to speak of, the striping simply running edge to edge, and the top and bottom edges show reinforced overcast stitching with small tasseled corner tabs. A faint vertical seam is visible where two woven panels have been joined down the center.
