Needlepoint

A deep aubergine field is scattered with small bouquets of pink, cream, and burgundy roses with green leaves, arranged in loose rows across the open ground. A pale gold diamond-and-line inner border frames the field, while the outer border on the same wine-dark ground carries a meandering vine with scattered leaves and a few isolated blossoms in cream, pink, and blue.

Two matching vertical panels are joined by a narrow ivory band, each field a dark ground filled with dense scrolling acanthus leaves, large curling gold palmettes, and scattered sprays of pale pink and celadon blossoms. A serpentine ivory reserve runs down the center of each panel, edged with a wavy dark line resembling a chain, while the flanking guard stripes carry a small stepped meander pattern in tan and cream. The palette throughout is muted gold, olive, soft pink, and cream against deep brown.

Needlepoint

The field is organized into a grid of twelve rectangular panels, each set against a terracotta-red ground and framed by a scrolling cream vine. Within every panel a cream-colored inner field holds a bouquet of roses and small blossoms rendered in pink, blue, yellow, and green, bordered by a delicate scalloped garland of tiny pink flowers. The repeating panel format gives the whole surface a patchwork-like regularity, with only slight variation in the arrangement of each floral cluster.

Needlepoint

The field is organized into a grid of scalloped ivory medallions, each edged in gold-brown scrollwork and separated by a dark chocolate ground. Within each cartouche sits a bouquet of roses, forget-me-nots, and small orange and lavender blossoms rendered in dusty pink, powder blue, and muted green, with the same floral clusters repeating at the intersections over the dark ground. A plain dark brown border frames the entire composition without additional ornament.

Needlepoint

A long narrow panel organized in three vertical columns of alternating cream and blue medallions, each enclosing a repeating monogram-like interlaced device above a radiating fan or crown motif. Between the columns run narrow striped bands, and the surrounding border is a checkerboard of cream and blue squares filled with small trefoil and dot ornaments, punctuated at the corners by star-shaped medallions with hooked scrollwork in ivory and dark blue.

Swedish Rag Rug

An elongated, narrow runner-format panel composed of tight horizontal banding in muted tones of tan, gray, cream, and dark brown, giving an overall striped effect along its full length. A detail inset reveals a small-scale floral motif worked in slate blue, ivory, black, and touches of red against a soft gray ground, with individual blossoms and leaf forms rendered in short directional stitches. The contrast between the striated field and the concentrated floral cluster suggests a deliberate combination of two distinct patterned zones within the same piece.

Swedish Rag Rug

A narrow runner composed of tightly banded horizontal stripes in muted tones of gray, beige, sage green, and charcoal, giving the surface a subtly variegated, almost tweed-like texture. The detail view reveals an irregular pebbled or cobblestone pattern in cream, dusty green, and pale blue set against a dark ground, with the stripes shifting gently in width and hue along the length. No border, fringe, or inscription is visible in the image.
