Khotan

An open sand-colored field is scattered with small, evenly spaced pink floral rosettes arranged in loose rows across its length. The field is framed by multiple narrow guard stripes and a wider fret-patterned border in muted olive and rust tones, with a secondary meander band in dark brown just inside it. The overall palette stays soft and tonal, with the pink blossoms providing the only strong accent against the neutral ground.

An ivory field is arranged in three vertically stacked medallions, each a large pale gold roundel filled with distinct devices — the outer two bearing angular pomegranate-like brackets, the center one filled with rosette flowerheads. Small corner brackets, scattered floral sprigs, and dotted rosettes fill the surrounding ground in muted tan and brown. The wide border carries a cloudband-and-scroll meander in soft gold and cream, framed by a narrower guard stripe of stepped key-fret ornament.

Khotan

An open ivory field carries three large pomegranate-shaped medallions stacked vertically, each filled with a lattice of interlocking star motifs rendered in soft tan against pale ground. Small rosette forms punctuate the spaces between the medallions, and a stylized pendant device tops the uppermost figure. The border is built of stacked guard stripes, including a meander band and a row of diagonal latch-hook devices in a warm gold-brown, framing the composition on all sides.

A dark brown-black field carries three medallions arranged along the central axis, each a pale roundel enclosing a small geometric emblem, the largest at center flanked by pairs of small blue birds. Between the medallions, scattered ivory rosettes, sprigs, and star-form blossoms fill the ground, bordered by a meander of angular fret key-pattern in soft rust. The wide outer border on tan ground carries a running scrolled cloud-band motif in blue and brown, framed by narrower guard stripes of small floral diaper and further fretwork.

Chinese

A deep indigo-black field is scattered with small ivory and tan motifs arranged in loose rows: potted plants, vases, censers, shrines, shelved treasures, and stylized flowering sprays, with four large square medallions of vases and blossoms anchoring the corners. The wide camel-colored border carries a continuous vine with scattered leaves, punctuated by small reserve panels containing bats, vessels, and geometric emblems, framed by narrow black and ivory guard stripes.

Mongolian

An open, unadorned pale camel field is anchored by a single small medallion at center, a scalloped medallion in ivory and green enclosing a stylized shou-like knot in coral. The four corners carry angular dark brown fretwork brackets in a stepped key pattern, echoed in the surrounding border of ivory and brown meander bands flanked by a narrow outer strip of small rosette forms on a dark ground.

Chinese

An open field in soft taupe carries only a scattering of small floral sprigs rendered in cream, coral, and pale green, leaving most of the ground bare. A pink band frames the field, giving way to a slate-blue outer border filled with a continuous trailing vine of rosettes in cream, gold, and coral tones. The corners of the outer border show larger clustered blossoms where the vine turns.

Chinese

An open field in warm gold holds a scatter of small floral sprigs in lavender, rose, and celadon, contained within a shaped, scalloped-corner outline. The border repeats a meandering vine with lavender blossoms, pale pink flowers, and soft green leaves against the same golden ground, echoing the field's palette without a distinct outer guard stripe.

Aubusson

An ivory field is organized by a diagonal lattice of pale blue banding into a grid of large rosettes, each with a red and blue starburst center radiating from a cream core and framed by a scalloped golden-yellow ring. Smaller cruciform palmettes in gold and blue fill the interstices where the lattice lines cross, and the whole composition is enclosed by a narrow floral border in matching blue, gold, and cream tones.
