Arraiolos

A pale sage ground is scattered with a regular grid of small five-lobed floral sprigs in deeper olive tones, interspersed with single round dots between each motif. The border is framed by a narrow ivory band and a solid olive stripe, then given over to a wide continuous garland of golden yellow acanthus-like leaves and blossoms turning at each corner. The overall palette stays within soft greens and warm yellows, with no other inscriptions or irregularities visible.

Arraiolos

An ivory ground carries a symmetrical vine-and-blossom lattice worked in slate blue, coral, olive green and soft yellow, populated with paired birds and small quadrupeds tucked among the scrolling stems. Palmette-like feathered motifs anchor the field at top and bottom, while a narrow red zigzag stripe frames an outer border of blossoming vines on a deep green ground punctuated by pairs of animals at intervals. The palette stays consistently muted and pastel throughout, with no sharp contrasts breaking the overall softness.

Arraiolos

The field is organized as a grid of squares in alternating tan and pale ivory, each framed by a narrow banded border and separated by lattice lines of small leaf and dot motifs on a sage green ground. Within roughly every other square sits a golden starburst rosette, while the remaining compartments are left plain, producing a checkerboard rhythm across the whole field. A wider sage green border with a continuous meander of leaves and blossoms in cream and ochre frames the entire composition.

Needlepoint

An overall lattice of ochre and rose bands crosses the ivory field, forming a diamond trellis enclosing alternating orange lozenges with small blue crosses and paired sprays of pink, lavender, and green foliate blossoms. A broad wine-red border carries a continuous scrolling vine of gold, pink, and green palmettes and leaves, with a narrower banded guard stripe of similar scrollwork on rose ground running just inside it. Each corner of the outer border is marked by a small rectangular reserve set at an angle, containing a compact floral medallion distinct from the surrounding scroll.

Arraiolos

A brown-gray ground carries pale-blue rocaille scrollwork enclosing bouquets of pink roses, small orange blossoms, and green foliage arranged in a mirrored vertical composition. The border repeats the same scroll-and-rose vocabulary against a lighter tan ground, framed by narrow striped guard bands in blue, cream, and brown. The overall palette is muted, dominated by dusty blue, ivory, and rose tones against the dark field.

Arraiolos

An ivory ground is covered edge to edge in a dense repeating floral lattice, with large red carnations, blush pink peonies, and mustard-gold blossoms linked by curling olive stems and serrated leaves in sage and forest green. The pattern repeats in horizontal bands with alternating motifs, framed by a plain narrow olive-green border. The composition reads as continuous all-over surface decoration with no central medallion or open field.

Arraiolos

The field is organized as a lattice of large diamonds, each filled with a small-scale checkerboard of alternating cream and dark navy squares interrupted by pinwheel-like triangular motifs at their centers. The lattice bands themselves carry a finer diaper pattern in the same two tones, and a plain narrow guide line separates the field from a wide border of tight crosshatched diamonds in cream and navy. The palette throughout is limited to cream and near-black navy, giving the whole a graphic, tightly repeating geometry.

Needlepoint

Belle Epoque

The field is organized into a diamond lattice, each compartment filled alternately with a rosette of interlaced red and cream tendrils on a sage ground, or with a small cluster of pale blue leaves scattered on ivory. A continuous line of stylized red crosses runs through the guard border, framed by narrow ivory and deep green bands. The palette throughout is muted - olive green, faded red, straw yellow and dusty blue - and the pattern repeats with only slight variation in the density of the interlacing at each rosette.

French Emboirdery

Louis XVI Period

An ivory ground is overlaid with an undulating lattice of interlaced ribbon-like vines rendered in soft rust, sage green, and cream, forming a repeating pattern of elongated cartouches. Within each compartment sits a single stylized flowering plant, alternately rendered in teal, coral, and muted gold, some crowned with tasseled or bell-shaped blossoms. The scalloped outer edge echoes the curvilinear rhythm of the lattice, giving the whole surface a continuous, mirrored symmetry from top to bottom.

Needlepoint

The field is composed of alternating horizontal bands: red stripes carrying a repeating floral scroll in ivory and gold, interspersed with narrow chevron stripes in gray and cream. A slender floral vine border in matching tones frames the field on all four sides, echoing the same red-ground palette and small blossom motifs seen throughout the striped body.
