Tabriz

The field is organized into a garden-plot lattice of rectangular compartments, each holding a different tree, shrub, or flowering plant rendered in fine detail against an ivory ground, with narrow cypress-lined bands dividing the panels. Colors run through soft ivory, sand, and rust, with accents of slate blue and dark green scattered across the compartments. A wide rust-toned border filled with scrolling floral vine encloses the field, flanked by several narrower guard stripes in blue and cream carrying repeating blossom and leaf forms.

Garden Design

The field is organized into a diamond lattice of compartments, each panel filled with a distinct floral or cypress motif rendered in rust, ivory, indigo, and slate blue. Alternating cells alone carry a single blossom or vase form, while others hold denser scrolling vinework, giving the grid a checkerboard rhythm of pattern against pattern. The wide border repeats a rosette-and-vine chain between narrower guard stripes, framed at the very edge by a slim band of dark blue-green.

Garden Design

The field is divided into a grid of compartments, each panel enclosing a single flowering plant or tree rendered in miniature against alternating grounds of ivory, rust, mustard, and slate blue. A narrow channel interrupts the grid at the center, running the length of the field, while the surrounding border repeats a chain of rosettes and palmettes on a warm gold ground, framed by slender guard stripes. Small variations in scale and color among the panels give the overall symmetry a handmade irregularity.

Tabriz

The rust-colored field carries an all-over lattice of interlaced palmettes, rosettes, and cloudband-like leaf forms rendered in ivory, soft blue, and slate, each medallion set within a diamond compartment. A deep indigo main border encloses the field, filled with a continuous scrolling vine of palmettes and blossoms, flanked by narrower ivory and rust guard stripes carrying smaller floral repeats.

Mahal

The ivory field carries an allover diaper lattice of small palmettes and rosettes rendered in rust, slate blue, and olive, arranged in tight diagonal rows across the entire ground. A narrow patterned guard band separates the field from the wide blue border, which is filled with alternating floral rosettes and curling leaf sprays in cream, rust, and dark brown, framed by slender minor stripes at each edge.

Sultanabad

A steel-blue ground carries an all-over lattice of scrolling vines supporting large palmettes, serrated leaves, and rosettes in rust, ivory, sage green, and soft apricot. A slender rust guard stripe separates the field from the wide camel-colored border, itself patterned with alternating floral sprays and angular cloud-band or animal-like forms in muted blue, coral, and olive. The design is dense and continuous, with no cartouche or medallion, giving the field an open, unbroken repeat.

Ziegler Sultanabad

A square field in a soft ivory-gold ground carries an open, asymmetrical lattice of rust-red vinework scattered with palmettes, small rosettes and blue-tinged leaf forms, one blossom rendered as a stacked medallion in the lower left. The wide border repeats large rust and ivory palmettes alternating with cobalt-blue rosettes along a meandering vine, framed by several narrow guard stripes of small floral trellis in the same rust, blue and ivory palette. The overall coloring stays within muted gold, brick red and indigo throughout, with no other inscription or signature visible.

Sultanabad

The field is left entirely open, an expanse of pale, weathered blue-green broken only by faint tonal striations from the pile's nap. It is framed by a wide ivory border filled with a continuous run of stylized floral sprays and palmettes in rust, olive, apricot, and navy, flanked by narrower guard stripes of small rosettes and a slim green band nearest the field.

Sultanabad

The rust-red field is arranged in a repeating grid of columnar trees, their trunks rendered in alternating turquoise and ivory, branching into dense arabesques of serrated leaves and small flowering sprays. Birds perch among the branches, interspersed with palmettes in cream, teal, and deep aubergine. The wide border on a slate-blue ground carries a lattice of angular blossoms and star forms, closed by narrow guard stripes, with bold cornice-like palmette medallions marking the corners.
