Tuareg Mat

A flat, reed-like woven mat in warm ochre and rust tones, its surface built from horizontal ribs through which the pattern is worked in a darker brick-red. The central field carries a stepped, key-shaped medallion with a small diamond at its heart, framed by nested rectangular borders of interlocking meander and hook motifs. An outer band of serrated triangles and small diamonds runs along all four sides, and the piece finishes in loose, uneven fringe at top and bottom.

The field is organized in vertical bands alternating a dense zigzag lattice in deep burgundy against a natural straw ground with narrower stripes of small diamond and chevron motifs in the same burgundy tone. A wide central column of tightly stacked chevrons in dark red anchors the composition, flanked symmetrically by the patterned stripes running the full length of the piece. The edges show plain reddish-brown selvages, with the natural material left visible at the top and bottom terminations.

Tuareg Mat

A pale straw-colored ground centers on a large stepped, diamond-shaped medallion in rust red filled with a lattice of small diamonds, flanked by four smaller stepped cornerpieces echoing the same jagged geometry and diamond-lattice fill. Narrow paired diamond motifs sit isolated at either side of the field, and the border repeats a fine zigzag line within red and ochre bands framed by plain outer stripes. Fringe remains loose and irregular at both ends, and a small pale rectangular patch interrupts the pattern near the lower edge of the central medallion.

The field is divided into vertical bands alternating a golden striated ground with darker brown-maroon panels, several of which carry small lozenge medallions worked in cream, green, and black. Narrow zigzag and diamond-patterned borders run along the top and bottom edges, framing the composition, while the field itself remains largely open aside from the striped columns and scattered diamond motifs. The overall palette is warm ochre and gold set against deep brown and touches of green, with a dark, undyed selvage visible at the top and bottom edges.

Tuareg Mat

The field is a plain woven ground divided into six vertical panels by narrow reserve strips, its surface animated by an overall watery, moiré-like rippling of tone that shifts between straw-gold and warm rust-brown. No border framing device or figural motif interrupts the field; the effect reads as pure abstract movement across the panels, with a fringed edge visible along the top and bottom.

Tuareg Mat

A pale straw-colored ground of narrow reeded strips runs the length of the field, flanked by two columns of small dark diamond and dot motifs in maroon and rust. Down the center a continuous chain of interlocking hourglass and X-shaped lattice figures repeats in dark brown and red accents against the natural surface. Broad solid bands of deep russet-brown border each long edge, with a narrower patterned strip closing the short end, and loose warp fringe visible at the lower corner.

Tuareg Mat

An open field of pale gold and amber tones is overlaid with a stepped, interlocking diamond lattice rendered in dark brown outline, creating a cascading trellis effect from top to bottom. Small individual diamond medallions with tiny cross motifs occupy each corner, breaking the field's continuous pattern. The border is minimal, with the field's abrash-like striping running horizontally and giving the surface a rippled, shifting appearance of light and shadow.

Tuareg Mat

A finely gridded ground in warm honey and straw tones is crossed by seven narrow vertical bands in a deeper rust-brown, running the full length of the field. The dense cross-hatched weave catches the light unevenly, producing a rippling, moiré-like shimmer across the surface, while a plain darker band frames the composition at top and bottom. The edges show a fringe of loose threads along the upper and lower borders.

Tuareg Mat

A reed-and-fiber mat structured in alternating narrow bands of natural straw color and deep aubergine, each dark stripe filled with a vertical chain of small diamonds and capped by zigzag chevrons in cream, red, green and yellow. The undyed reed bundles at both the top and bottom edges remain loose and unfinished, left as raw fringe rather than trimmed or bound. The surface reads as a rigid, ruled grid of stripes with the diamond lattices providing the only curvilinear relief.

Tuareg Mat

A finely gridded straw-toned ground is overlaid with a lattice of thin dark and rust-colored lines forming interlocking diamonds arranged in vertical rows across the field. Slender vertical bands run the full length of the piece between the diamond columns, and the outer edges taper slightly, giving the format a gently curved, uneven silhouette rather than a strict rectangle. The palette stays within warm tans and golds accented by narrow reddish-brown and umber outlines.
