Beni Ourain

An open ivory ground carries a continuous chain of large diamond lattices formed by dark brown crenellated lines with a thin ochre edge, scattered with small pastel accents in seafoam green, blush pink, and soft yellow. Diminutive diamond and drop-shaped motifs float within and between the lattice compartments, while a stepped, key-patterned border in the same dark brown outlines the field on both sides. Bare warp fringe finishes the top and bottom edges.

Azilal

An open ivory ground is divided into horizontal bands by narrow flat-woven strips patterned with small brown diamonds. Each band carries a zigzag chevron line in orange, with occasional accents of yellow, red, green, and blue, the peaks and troughs shifting slightly from row to row. The lowest register, just above the fringe, breaks from the zigzag motif with a row of small stylized figures in orange, green, and black.

Zaiane

A long narrow runner organized in horizontal registers against a deep brown-black ground, alternating bands of bold cross and X-shaped motifs with narrower strips of small diamonds and lozenge lattices. The palette stays within warm rust, ochre, and cream tones set off by the dark field, with the geometric bands repeating in a steady rhythm from end to end. Both edges finish in loose warp fringe.

Haik Kilim

An open ivory field is left largely bare, crossed at intervals by narrow horizontal bands of small-scale motifs: rows of diamond and lozenge shapes alternating in navy blue and rust red, thin zigzag stripes in dark brown, and a scattering of tiny triangular and diamond forms near the top and bottom edges. The composition reads as a sequence of quiet registers rather than a bordered field, with plain warp fringe finishing both ends.

Haik Kilim

The field is organized entirely in horizontal bands, alternating a fine speckled gray-and-cream texture with narrower stripes of tan and cream marked by small dashed accents. There is no border framing the composition; the striped pattern runs edge to edge, terminating in loose warp fringe at both ends. Colors stay within a muted palette of gray, ivory, and warm tan throughout.

Haik Kilim

The field is composed entirely of horizontal bands, no border framing them off from the field. Broad stripes of taupe and warm brown alternate with narrow bands of dark charcoal, the widths uneven and hand-drawn rather than mechanically regular. A fringe of loose warp ends finishes the lower edge, with a narrow dark stripe running just above it.

Glaoua

The field is arranged in horizontal bands of varying width, each carrying its own small-scale motif: rows of stacked diamonds, chevrons, dotted lattices, and zigzags in orange, mustard, ivory and charcoal against pale grey grounds. Flanking this banded field are wide side panels of dense, irregular flame-like striping in rust, black and cream that read almost as a separate pattern from the center. The rug finishes with plain grey end bands and loose warp fringe, one corner showing a twisted, tasseled cord left hanging free.

Glaoua

The field is composed entirely of horizontal bands running the full width of the piece, alternating between broad stripes of ochre, seafoam green, and deep brown, each interrupted by narrower registers of small-scale pattern in pink, cream, and lavender. Motifs include elongated lozenges, chevrons, zigzags, and rows of tiny diamonds worked in fine polychrome detail against the plain colored grounds. Both ends finish in loosely knotted fringe, with no separate border framing the composition, the stripe sequence itself carrying the design to the edges.

Moroccan Kilim

An open ivory field, textured with a fine allover striped weave, is left plain aside from two narrow bands near each end. Each end carries a thin line of small red dashes followed by a wider red and dark brown geometric border of repeating diamond forms before the field resumes; fringe finishes both ends.

Zaiane

Telles, Middle Atlas, Morocco

A deep indigo-black ground is crossed by five horizontal bands of ornament, each filled with tight zigzags, diamonds, and small stepped motifs worked in faded rose, ochre, and cream. Narrow black rectangles left open between the bands create a grid-like effect, framed by matching patterned side borders and plain dark end panels.
