Swedish Flat Weave

A steady teal-blue border frames an interlocking grid of stepped, cross-shaped blocks in mulberry, orange, mustard, lavender, teal and cream. Each block centers on a small square accent, alternately white or a deep contrasting tone, creating a quiet secondary rhythm across the field. A small woven monogram appears in the upper right corner of the border.

A soft blue oval medallion floats within an ivory ground, outlined by a single band that echoes the outer border's palette. Surrounding it, rows of stylized floral and blossom forms in dusty pink, moss green, taupe, and pale turquoise alternate with small checkered squares, all set against the same ivory field, and framed by a plain slate-blue border edged in narrow dark stripes. The corners and edges show slight compression of the motifs where the pattern turns, and a fringe of unknotted warp ends the composition at top and bottom.

A coral-red field carries an all-over grid of small diamond-shaped medallions rendered in cream, olive, and slate-blue, each with a burst of short radiating strokes around a central mark. The narrow borders at top and bottom are set apart in olive-green with a zigzag chevron line and a thin band of blue, framing the field without side borders shown. The repeat is regular and evenly spaced across the full width and length.

An open camel-toned field is scattered with small motifs arranged in a loose grid: clusters of tiny checkered squares in slate blue, coral, and cream, paired with simple key-shaped hooks and two small orange medallions with pale outlines set along the vertical axis. The border is built from concentric bands of navy, mustard, slate blue, and a stepped ivory-and-blue checkerboard stripe, framed by a solid dark outer edge. The overall palette stays within camel, navy, mustard, slate, and touches of coral against the open ground.

The field is organized in wide horizontal bands alternating between slate-blue-gray and a heathered taupe tone, each stripe rendered in a flat, textured weave. There is no distinct border separating the field from the stripe pattern; the bands run edge to edge, terminating at both ends in loose, undyed fringe. The palette stays within a narrow range of muted blue-gray and warm gray, with no additional motifs or inscriptions visible.

The field is composed entirely of horizontal bands separated by narrow dark gray lines, each stripe often split into two offset color blocks rather than running edge to edge. Colors shift irregularly across olive green, teal, dusty rose, lavender, purple, and pale gray, giving the horizontal structure a staggered, brick-like rhythm. There is no border; the striped field runs to the flat woven edges, finishing in loose warp fringe at both ends.
