A pictorial field depicts a group of riders on horseback moving across a patchwork of green fields toward a horizon of pale, cloud-shaped forms in grey and cream. The horses appear in flat silhouettes of blue-grey, black, orange, and red, their riders rendered in bold patterned coats of yellow, coral, dotted navy, and ochre florals, all outlined in heavy cream contours. A woven signature reading "GYNNING" appears in the lower left corner of the field; there is no separate border, the composition running edge to edge.
An overall lattice of interlocking zigzag bands in sage green, ochre yellow, coral pink, and charcoal runs edge to edge across an ivory ground, forming a continuous diamond-like trellis with no central medallion. The border is reduced to narrow parallel stripes in matching colors, framing the field without a separate corner treatment, and the pattern is cropped abruptly at the top and bottom edges as if continuing beyond the visible field.
A red ground panel organized into horizontal registers, each populated with rows of stylized figures rendered in a pale ivory tone against the field, separated by thin dark banding. Woven inscriptions in a repeating script run above several of the registers, and recurring scenes include mounted riders, standing groups, and figures flanking central emblems or tree-like motifs. A plain tan border frames the composition on all sides.
Possibly designed by Frida Hansen
A cubist portrait dominates the field, a fractured face rendered in ivory, taupe and charcoal planes set against a scored ground of vertical hatching. A plain grey-brown border frames the composition, its outer edge scattered with angular blue shards that break its otherwise even band. A woven monogram, appearing as 'LCG' with a date beneath, sits in the lower left corner of the field.
