Grey and Chocolate Brown Sisal

The surface presents an open, basket-like grid of thick, twisted strands running in two directions, their natural variegation producing an irregular play of light and dark tones across the field. A detail inset at lower right isolates a single crossing point, showing the strands' loose twist and the small gaps left between them. The selvages along the edges show the strand ends turning back on themselves in a plain overcast finish.

A close-up detail circle at lower right isolates a single crossing of thick horizontal cords over pale vertical strands, showing how the two elements interlock. The surrounding surface repeats this open lattice at a smaller scale, with tan and honey-brown bundles running horizontally against thinner cream threads set vertically. Slight variation in the tone of the bundles, ranging from golden to darker umber, gives the grid a mottled, irregular texture rather than a uniform color.

Banana Straw & Cotton

The surface presents an open basketweave lattice, ivory strands crossing bands of tan and amber straw-like material in a repeating diagonal, brick-like pattern. Small gaps between the crossings let light pass through the structure, giving the field a loose, airy checkerwork appearance. A circular inset at lower right offers a magnified view of the same weave, highlighting the twisted texture of the straw segments against the smoother pale threads. The edges show a simple looped selvage in the same ivory tone.

The surface presents an even herringbone-braided texture, its plied strands running in tight diagonal rows across the entire field, with no distinct border or central motif separating from the overall ground. A circular inset at lower right offers a close-up of the braided cords, showing individual fibers twisting together in a warm, uniform tan tone throughout.

Couro Grey Leather Sisal

The surface presents a tight herringbone plait of twisted natural-toned strands interlaced with narrow flat ribbons in a pale taupe tone, producing a diagonal basketweave pattern across the whole field. No border is set apart from the field; the pattern runs edge to edge, terminating in a slightly irregular, hand-finished selvage. A circular inset in the lower right magnifies the weave, showing the twisted cords crossing over the flat strips in a clear over-under rhythm.

The surface is composed of alternating horizontal bands in black and undyed white, each stripe angled to a soft point at either edge so the rows meet in a jagged, tooth-like rhythm. A close-up inset at lower right reveals the twisted, ribbed texture of the individual strands, showing how the dark and light elements interlock along each band. The edges are finished with small twisted rosettes where the strands terminate.

A dark charcoal ground carries scattered raised knots in mustard yellow, brick brown, slate blue and pale ivory, arranged in loose rows across the surface. A single horizontal band of pale blue-grey interrupts the field roughly two-thirds up, itself dotted with pearly white knots. The scalloped edges are finished with a looped ivory selvage, and a magnified inset shows one knot's twisted, coiled structure against the striated ground.

An open, basket-like ground formed of interlaced flat straw-toned strands, crossed at regular intervals to create a diamond lattice. Small knotted nubs are spaced evenly across the surface in a loose grid, each raised slightly above the plane of the weave. A detail inset in the lower right shows the twisted, knobby texture of these clustered knots against the coarser crosshatched structure, all rendered in warm tans and pale wheat tones.
