Needlepoint

An overall lattice of interlocking medallions fills the ivory field, each roundel enclosing a cluster of rust-red flowers set against pale blue and green sprigs, connected by scrolling golden foliate bands that form a diaper pattern across the whole ground. The border is a dark olive-brown ground carrying a continuous scrolling acanthus vine in tan and gold, framed by narrow plain guard stripes in mustard and cream. The repeat is precise and unbroken corner to corner, with no field left open.

ARRAIOLOS

The field is arranged as a regular grid of pale mint medallions, each enclosing a dark brown roundel with a stylized green and chartreuse leaf sprig, set against a warm tan ground. The border carries a sinuous meandering vine in the same mint tone scattered with individual green leaves on a beige ground, framed by narrow dark brown and green guard stripes.

Needlepoint

The field is organized as a diamond lattice in rust and slate blue, each compartment enclosing a small floral rosette on an ivory ground, with larger ivory diamonds at regular intervals holding fuller bouquets of pink, cream, and rust blossoms. A narrow gold and cream banded border frames the composition without additional figuration. The palette throughout stays within rust, gold, slate blue, and ivory.

Needlepoint

A deep green field is scattered with a repeating diaper of small gold four-petaled florets and stylized palmette forms, densely arranged over the entire ground. At center, a laurel-wreathed rosette in cream and gold anchors a symmetrical composition of four oval medallions containing pale grisaille urn-and-scroll motifs flanked by delicate swags of laurel leaves. A narrow guard border of alternating gold and mauve leaf forms frames the whole on a matching green ground.

Needlepoint

A deep crimson ground is scattered with a regular grid of gold fleur-de-lis, each rendered in a soft ochre tone that contrasts crisply against the saturated red. A narrow meander, or running key, border in matching gold outlines all four edges, echoing the geometry of the interior pattern. The field appears to be pieced from several vertical panels, faintly visible where the ground color shifts slightly in tone.

    Needlepoint

A dense bouquet of full-blown roses, peonies, and small blue and lavender blossoms fills the deep green field, rendered with soft pink, cream, gold, and sage-green shading. The wide outer border repeats the same floral garland on a matching green ground, separated from the field by a narrow ivory band patterned with a compact geometric key motif. The overall composition reads almost like an embroidered garden panel rather than a conventional medallion carpet.

    Needlepoint

A sage-green ground encloses three pink-toned compartments, each framed and filled with a scrolling acanthus motif in ochre, ivory, and green, the central panel distinguished by a rosette medallion in pale blue and gold. The border is a continuous ribbon-twist of pink, blue, and cream interspersed with yellow four-petaled flowers at the corners and midpoints. The three-panel format reads almost like a triptych, each compartment a variation on the same foliate theme rather than an exact repeat.

    Needlepoint

The deep black ground is divided by a sage-green grid into fifteen compartments, each holding a distinct floral bouquet worked in reds, yellows, pinks, lavenders and greens, with tulips, roses, daffodils and mixed sprays varying from cell to cell. A wide green border encloses the field, filled with a continuous garland of similar flowers and trailing foliage that echoes the palette of the interior bouquets. No two of the fifteen floral groupings repeat exactly, giving the overall grid a handmade, sampler-like irregularity.
