A dark charcoal-brown ground is overlaid with a grid of ivory bars and slender striated strokes, their lengths and orientations shifting from horizontal dashes at the edges to vertical tufts toward the center. The pattern radiates outward from a small central medallion-like cluster of short vertical marks, giving the impression of a pulsing or breathing checkerboard. No border frames the composition; the field runs edge to edge with the motif fading gently at the corners.

The field is left entirely open, filled edge to edge with fine horizontal striations that shift between ivory, pale beige, and soft tan. A detail inset at lower right reveals the surface up close, showing an irregular basketlike interlacing with slubs and variations in thickness that give the whole a subtly textured, uneven sheen. No border, motif, or inscription interrupts the plain expanse.
An open ivory field is interrupted only by a cluster of overlapping arced and rectilinear forms in charcoal, dark brown, and grey set slightly above center, with thin geometric outlines completing the shapes' lower edges. Two vertical columns of small dashes descend from the upper corners like tally marks, while a horizontal band of parallel stripes in graduated dark tones anchors the lower portion of the field. The palette stays within neutral ivory, taupe, brown, and near-black throughout, with no border framing the composition.

The surface presents an unadorned expanse of undyed, cream and pale-gold tones, without medallion, border or figural device of any kind. Horizontal ridges catch the light in irregular bands, giving the plain field a subtle striped movement. A detail inset at lower right shows the close, gridded structure of the surface up close, its individual crossings visible against the ivory ground.

The field is left wholly open to an allover abstract pattern, with no distinct border framing it. Diagonal, flame-like striations of charcoal and slate gray move across an ivory ground, their edges softened and irregular so the effect reads as a shifting, watery texture rather than a fixed motif. Color throughout is limited to this ivory and gray range, with tonal variation created purely by the density and direction of the striations.
