The field is organized into a uniform grid of soft-cornered squares, each raised slightly above a narrow ivory lattice that frames it. Within each square a fine, close texture catches the light differently than the smooth channels between them, giving the surface a quiet, tonal geometry. A detail inset at lower right shows a subtle diamond accent where four squares meet, the only departure from the repeating pattern across the plain cream ground.

The field is left entirely open, a soft heathered tan surface broken only by a single ivory line set well in from the edge to form a plain rectangular border. The corners of that line meet in simple mitred joins, with no corner motifs or additional framing devices. The detail view shows the same fine, evenly speckled texture continuing beneath the border line without interruption.

An open, unadorned field in a warm sand tone is set within a single narrow border of the same hue, the two areas separated only by a fine pale outline. The surface reads as a dense, evenly looped texture rather than any figurative pattern, with a slightly heavier band of the same nubbly texture running along the outer edge. The detail view shows individual tufts twisted with lighter, almost cream-colored flecks running through the beige, giving the overall surface a subtly mottled, granular appearance.
