Swedish Flat Weave

A camel-toned field is set with a lattice of eight-pointed red stars edged in pink and blue diamonds, arranged in a repeating grid with two half-stars breaking the sequence at top and bottom center. The wide dark brown border repeats the same star motif in red, pink, and blue against black, giving the field and border a matched visual rhythm. A small watermark reading a website name appears in the lower left corner of the image, unrelated to the object itself.

Swedish Flat Weave

An open ivory field is scattered with small diamond-shaped florettes in blue, rose, and mustard, evenly spaced across the ground. A broad border of interlocking rosette medallions in rose, sky blue, and green with white accents frames the field on all sides, enclosed by a slate-blue outer band and finished with warp fringe at both ends.

Swedish Pile

A sage green ground is scattered in orderly rows with small emblems - eight-pointed stars, paired hooked diamonds, and single lozenges - alternating in mustard yellow, ivory, rust orange, and dark brown. The border repeats a dense line of star-and-cross figures in the same palette against a near-black band, framed by plain ivory guard stripes, with warp fringe left loose at both ends.

Initialed SB (Sigvard Bernadotte)

An interlocking geometric lattice of soft sage-green bands stretches across an ivory ground, forming repeated H-shaped and stepped units linked by short ladder-rung bars. The pattern runs edge to edge in a continuous grid, giving the surface a quiet, architectural rhythm, while a narrow plain band of pale tone frames the composition on all sides.

    Initialed: AG Brita Grahn

An open ivory field is crossed by undulating diagonal bands in olive, slate blue, ochre and pale green, arranged in a repeating wave pattern across the surface. At the crest of each wave sits a narrow pointed oval in cream striped with dark blue, forming a vertical row of eye-like forms down each column. A plain ivory border frames the composition, with the initials AG woven into the lower left corner and the name inscribed in the lower right.
