Oushak

A large lobed medallion filled with dense floral scrollwork anchors an open ivory field, with pendants extending toward the top and bottom edges. The soft salmon-pink border is patterned with sprays of blossoms and leaf forms, echoed in the pale palette of ivory, muted green, and apricot throughout. The field's open ground contrasts with the medallion's dense ornament, emphasizing the surface's overall pale, faded coloration.

A pale blush ground is overlaid with a diagonal lattice enclosing sprigged trees, palmettes, and radiating star-form medallions in soft coral, sage, mustard, and blue-gray. The wide olive-green border carries a repeating vine of small blossoms and rosettes, framed by a narrower banded stripe of stylized flowerheads in coral and cream. The corners of the border show slight variation in the arrangement of the small motifs, suggesting a hand-drawn rather than mechanically repeated pattern.

A square field is divided into four striped quadrants radiating from a central pale-gold medallion set with a green star-form rosette, each quadrant filled with chevron and feathered striping in salmon, ivory and sage. Four small rectangular cartouches with rosette medallions occupy the mid-field corners, and the wide border carries a dense sequence of botanical and geometric sprigs in green, apricot and pink against a soft sage ground. Colors throughout are muted - salmon, sage green, straw yellow and dusty pink - giving the whole surface a faded, sun-bleached quality.

Borlou

An ivory ground carries an allover lattice of interlocking diamond medallions formed by scrolling vinework, each compartment centered with a small rosette rendered in soft coral, sage, and muted gold. The main border repeats palmette and rosette forms strung along a meandering vine on a pale straw ground, flanked by narrow guard stripes in the same restrained palette. The overall tonality is uniformly light, with color reserved almost entirely for the drawing rather than large fields of saturation.

The field is left entirely open in a soft apricot tone, unbroken by any central motif. It is framed by a wide olive-green border filled with alternating pomegranate-like blossoms in rose and cream, interspersed with serrated leaf forms, and flanked by narrower guard stripes of small geometric and floral trellis patterns in cream, rose, and pale green.

An open, softly apricot-toned field is scattered with loose sprays of small blossoms and diamond forms in coral, muted gold, and pale blue, arranged in six ascending clusters. Quartered floral medallions occupy each corner, echoing the palmette and rosette border that frames the piece in ivory, sage green, and dusty rose. The overall coloring is muted and warm, with the field left largely bare around the delicate scattered motifs.

Aubusson

A golden-yellow field scattered with a small, repeating floral sprig pattern surrounds a central oval medallion filled with a dense wreath of multicolored flowers around a rosette, flanked by four shell-form finials in white and ochre. The wide outer border carries a meandering floral vine in soft blues, greens, and lavender, framed by a narrow guard band of rust-red rosettes on a cream ground and a slim rust-colored line closest to the field.

A scalloped ivory medallion with a central rosette of small palmette forms sits against a golden-brown ground densely covered in scrolling vine and floral tendrils. Pink floral bouquets fill the corners, and the surrounding border combines a wide band of dark brown scrollwork and blossoms with a narrow guard stripe of small diamond and geometric motifs in ivory, rust, and blue.

Spanish

The field is left entirely open, a solid deep green ground broken only by the fine, regular striations of the surface where pale ivory flecks show through between the rows. No border, medallion, or other motif interrupts the expanse; the edges finish in a tight scalloped selvage running along all four sides.

A plain field of tightly ridged horizontal rows in a warm mustard-gold, left entirely open with no border or applied ornament. Fine pale flecks run through the ribbed surface at regular intervals, giving a subtle striated texture across the whole square. The edges show a scalloped selvage where the same gold tone loops along all four sides.
