The field is composed of alternating rectangular panels arranged on the diagonal, pairing plain ivory blocks with striped panels in charcoal, gray, and white. The striped sections run in tight vertical lines within each block, creating a basket-weave illusion across the surface, while the plain panels remain open and unadorned. No border, inscription, or field motif interrupts the geometric grid.
Brown Field with white, beige, red, blue & green stripes.
The field is composed entirely of five broad vertical bands alternating between warm taupe-brown and pale oatmeal, running the full length of the piece with no border to frame them. Each stripe shows subtle tonal variation and streaking within its color, giving the flat expanse a quiet, handmade irregularity rather than a printed uniformity. There is no additional motif, medallion, or inscription visible; the composition rests entirely on the rhythm of the stripes and their color contrast.
Colorful Hezar Jerib panels (predominantly light blue and green) with linen stitching.
Two vertical panels joined at center, each striped in flat bands of oatmeal, taupe, and soft gray running the width of the piece. On the left panel a single mustard-yellow band interrupts the muted sequence, giving the only note of color against the otherwise neutral, tonal striping. The border consists simply of the plain woven edges, with no additional framing device.
An ivory field is densely populated with a garden of flowering trees and shrubs rendered in muted greens, rust-red trunks, and small clusters of blue and rose blossoms, giving the impression of an orchard seen from above. The border is composed of concentric bands: a narrow serrated vine, a wide meandering floral scroll in tan and dark blue with birds tucked among the palmettes, and an outer guard of small rosettes on cream ground. The palette throughout stays soft and earthen—camel, ivory, indigo, and faded rose—without any inscription or signature visible.
The field is filled with an all-over lattice of interlocking diamond and lozenge forms in soft blue-green, tan, and dusty rose, each compartment enclosing small palmettes and rosettes rendered in ivory, mustard, and mauve. A wide main border of large lobed palmette medallions in rose and slate blue alternates with scrolling vinework, framed by narrower guard stripes of small blossoms on ivory and blue grounds. The overall palette is muted—faded rose, sage, ochre, and pale ivory—giving the surface a soft, worn harmony.
