A pale sage-green ground carries a repeating, all-over pattern of feathery fern fronds rendered in white, their finely toothed leaflets radiating from slender curving stems. The motifs run off the edges at varying angles, creating a loose, unbounded arrangement rather than a contained field and border. Lower right, a lone fern branch appears smaller in scale, breaking the otherwise even distribution of the design across the surface.
