Aubusson

The ivory field is organized into a compartmented medallion scheme with a central open oval reserve encircled by a floral garland of pink, blue, and yellow blossoms on slender scrolling stems. Taupe scrollwork frames four cornering cartouches filled with fruit clusters, foliate sprays, and small bouquets tied with ribbon, all set against pale celadon and cream grounds. The border repeats a ribbon-and-scroll motif in soft rose, green, and tan, echoing the palette of the field.
