Karabagh Kilim

A dark charcoal ground carries an all-over lattice of bouquet-like floral clusters in ivory, salmon pink, and soft rose, arranged in staggered rows across the full field. The border is a salmon-pink band filled with a chain of small stepped diamonds in black and cream, framed by narrow guard stripes with a fine dart pattern. The bouquets are rendered with a slightly irregular repeat, no two clusters quite identical in shading or leaf placement.

European Flat Weave

A long narrow panel on a brick-red ground, filled with an all-over lattice of abstract, flame-like ivory and slate-blue forms interspersed with small round medallions containing rosette and star motifs in gold, cream, and deep blue. A narrow guard border in muted tones frames the field, running the full length on both sides, with the composition repeating in vertical registers rather than a single central design.

Sofreh Kilim

The field is composed of narrow horizontal bands filled with small repeating motifs—bowties, diamonds, zigzags, and rows of tiny animal figures—rendered in muted rust, olive, blue, and cream against a warm camel ground. A wide plain tan strip separates the patterned center from the border system, which stacks several narrow guard stripes of geometric latch-hooks and diamonds in blue, brown, and cream before a broader sky-blue band and an outer dark brown edge. The banded arrangement gives the piece a striped, almost sample-like structure rather than a single unified field design.

Moroccan Rag

The field is composed entirely of horizontal bands running the full length of the piece, with no separate border to interrupt the sequence of stripes. Colors shift irregularly from taupe, gray, and ivory into passages of coral red, lavender, teal, and deep brown, some bands solid and others streaked with mixed tones. The lower edge finishes in a loose fringe of undyed warp ends.

French Aubusson

An open tan field is organized by an angular, branching lattice resembling a tree diagram, its dark stems sprouting small red, white, and green flowers along the way. Scattered within the branches are pictorial vignettes - a bird perched on a twig, a house with a fence, a pair of pine trees beside a running fox, a bundled sack hanging from a rod, and a small radiant sunburst near the bottom - all rendered in the same red, cream, and charcoal palette. A plain sage-green border frames the composition on all sides.

Sultanabad

An allover lattice of interlocking palmettes and scrolling vinework fills the field in rust, ochre, and soft ivory, with touches of pale blue and olive picking out the connecting stems. The composition shifts subtly in tone from a golden upper field to a deeper rust lower field, suggesting abrash across the ground. A wide indigo border carries a repeating rosette-and-leaf design framed by narrower ivory and floral guard stripes on both sides.

Sultanabad

The rectangular field, a soft rose-terracotta ground, carries a dense scatter of stylized palmettes, leafy sprays, and small blossoms rendered in ivory, olive, muted blue, and dusty rose, with a pair of tiny hooked motifs set near the field's center like a small woven cartouche. A wide indigo border framed by narrower ivory guard stripes repeats the same floral vocabulary in miniature, while a diagonal striped band runs along the outer edge.

ZIEGLER SULTANABAD

An ivory ground carries an all-over scatter of small palmettes, vinery, and floral sprays in rust, blue, and soft green, centered on a lobed steel-blue medallion filled with a rosette pattern. Rust-toned spandrels occupy the four corners, echoing the medallion's palette, while a broad indigo border of repeating angular blossoms is flanked by narrower guard stripes in cream and rose.
