Viennese

An open sage-green field is framed by sinuous, whiplash tendrils rendered in muted teal that curl into the corners and loop toward a central medallion of stylized ginkgo-like blossoms in pale cream. The wide border repeats the same organic scrollwork against a dusty rose ground, edged by narrow stripes of ivory and green before meeting the outer field tone again. The overall palette stays soft and tonal throughout, with the pattern's long curving lines giving the composition a distinctly fluid, plant-like rhythm.

Tuareg Mat

A finely latticed straw-toned ground carries a scattered arrangement of small geometric devices in muted red, blue-green, and rust — crosses, stepped hooks, and compartmented squares — arranged in loose rows without strict symmetry. The narrow border is a plain dark band framing the open field, which is otherwise left bare to let the small motifs float freely against the woven grid. No inscriptions or signatures are visible.

Moroccan Rag Rug

The field is left entirely open, composed of narrow horizontal striations that shift gradually from pale ivory and ochre at the top, through bands of slate blue and gray, into a warmer golden stripe near the base. There is no border or central motif; the surface reads as a graduated tonal field, with the detail inset revealing the finer texture of the alternating blue, cream, and mustard threads.

A plain, undyed field fills the entire frame, its surface built from small looped and knotted tufts that catch the light unevenly, giving the pale ivory tone gentle variation from bright to soft grey-white. A faint horizontal seam runs across the upper third, marking a change in the direction of the looping, while the edges show a slightly raised, ridged selvage. An inset detail at lower right magnifies the texture, revealing the irregular, curling character of the individual tufts against the otherwise even overall surface.

Tuareg Mat

An open ivory field is animated by a central column of stacked diamonds terminating in a rust-colored cross, flanked by pairs of outlined crosses, stepped motifs, chevrons, and small H-shaped devices in dark brown and rust tones. The composition is laid out with a strong vertical symmetry along the central axis, and the borderless field runs to the outer edges with only a narrow plain selvage visible. Colors read as warm cream ground with dark charcoal-brown outlines and muted rust-red accents throughout the diamonds and crosses.
