SARDINIAN CARPET

An open, basket-woven surface with no field or border distinction, built instead from an all-over grid of alternating warp and weft. Ivory, ochre-brown, and pale powder-blue strands cross in a loose checkerboard rhythm, leaving small gaps of visible structure between the intersections. A detail inset at lower right isolates the weave, showing the same three tones knotting together at a larger scale.

SARDINIAN CARPET

A sample of open, basket-weave construction showing an irregular speckled pattern of ivory, soft blue, and brown tufts set within a visible grid of natural-toned foundation threads. No border or field division is present, as the piece is a swatch rather than a complete composition; a detail inset at lower right magnifies the individual knots and the loose, airy structure of the weave.

SARDINIAN CARPET

A sample of flat, tightly woven surface in an allover basketweave grid, the field left plain and undecorated with no border or central motif. Rust-brown, sage green, and ivory strands cross in a regular checked pattern, with a detail inset at lower right showing the individual threads of the interlacing. The scalloped selvedge edges are visible along the top and right sides.

SARDINIAN CARPET

A folded corner sample of an open, basket-woven ground shows an irregular checkered pattern in rust, sage green, pale blue-gray, and cream. A magnified detail circle at lower right isolates the crossing threads, revealing the loose, grid-like structure of the surface. No field or border division is present, only the repeating textured lattice.

Vintage Kilim Composition

The entire surface is composed of rectangular and square blocks in varied tones of brown, tan, and taupe, each panel outlined in a fine ivory stitch that resembles masonry joints. The blocks are arranged concentrically, forming nested rectangular bands from the outer edge toward the center, without a distinct separate border. A detail inset at lower right isolates two adjoining panels to show the pale zigzag stitching that defines their seams.

Sardinian Carpet

A textile sample woven in a small-scale basket or checked pattern, with slate blue, cream, and rust-brown yarns crossing in a regular grid. A detail inset at lower right magnifies the interlacing, showing the twisted, multicolored strands that form each square of the surface. The edges show a plain finished selvage on the left and unfinished loose ends on the right.

Maximum width: 585 cm (230 in.)

The surface is given over entirely to a dense chevron-like plaiting, each diagonal course alternating between ivory and pale grey tones that catch the light differently to create a subtle herringbone shimmer. Scattered at regular intervals along the ridges are small tan accents, appearing almost like stitched ticks breaking the otherwise continuous zigzag rhythm. A plain flat band frames the composition on all sides, its narrow selvage left free of pattern to set off the textured field within.

    Indoor & Outdoor

Maximum width: 585 cm (230 in.)

The field is composed entirely of thick, interlocking braided cords laid on a diagonal bias, forming a continuous basketweave pattern across the entire surface. A narrow, tightly ribbed border of the same tone frames the piece on all sides, its edge slightly rounded and raised above the plane of the field. The palette stays within a close range of steel and charcoal grey, with faint lighter flecks running through the cords that catch the light differently depending on the angle of the weave.
