Chequerboard

The field is filled edge to edge with a small-scale checkerboard pattern, alternating muted gold and pale silvery-grey squares that shift in density across the surface, denser and more irregular toward the lower left corner. There is no border to speak of, the pattern running to the flat woven edges, which are finished with a plain warp fringe at top and bottom. A small circular emblem with a stylized motif is woven into the upper right corner of the field.

Benedictus

A pale sage-green field is left largely open, carrying a symmetrical, mirrored pattern of slender branching vines drawn in thin brown outline, radiating from a central axis toward the four corners. Scattered along the branches are small pale yellow dots suggesting buds or blossoms, and the design is contained within a narrow plain border in a slightly deeper taupe tone.

VINTAGE KILIM COMPOSITION

A flat, undecorated ivory ground is divided by faint vertical seams into four long panels, each interrupted at irregular heights by narrow horizontal bands of brown and taupe striation. The bands are staggered asymmetrically across the panels rather than aligned, and the field is otherwise left entirely open, with no border framing the composition.

Beni Ourain

The field is left borderless, given over entirely to an irregular lattice of ivory lines that divide the taupe ground into a mosaic of cellular, tile-like shapes. Toward the top the grid loosens into a mottled, dappled pattern before tightening into narrower, more vertical compartments across the lower two-thirds. Loose warp fringe is visible at both the upper and lower ends.
