Vintage Kilim Composition

The field is composed of five vertical panels joined together, each filled with horizontal banding in alternating ivory and dark brown, with a fine red line tracing the edge of most stripes. The panels shift slightly out of alignment with one another, so the striping does not run continuously across the width, and one panel near the top right breaks pattern with a band of deep red, ochre, and narrow dark stripes. The stripe rhythm varies subtly panel to panel, with some bands wider or more irregularly spaced than others, giving the surface an unevenness against its overall symmetry.

Art Deco Savonnerie

An open, undecorated field in pale straw yellow is framed by a scalloped border in two tones of blue, a deeper slate-blue outer wave nested against a softer lavender-blue inner one. A faint cloud-like shadowing drifts across the ground, echoing the border's curved rhythm without settling into a fixed motif. The corners resolve simply, the scallops meeting in even repeats along all four sides.
