Kips Bay Decorator Show House 2018 showcases so many wonderful and skilled designers. This year’s 46th annual show boasted 22 design firms and was located at 110 East 76th Street, New York. FJ Hakimian is proud to present three rugs that were incorporated into 2 room designs at this year’s show. The designers we worked with have incredible skills and are in the forefront of today’s modern interior design world.

Brian del Toro

Brian del Toro designed an elegant bedroom with a hand painted 1960s Robert Chowder screen as the focal point of the room. The room looks simultaneously muted and lush, with natural toned wall coverings and cork ceiling with gold accents to tie the room together. Our Swedish Pile Rug by Kerstin Butler and Kristianstads Läns Hemslöjd complements the design well with soft yellows and greens. Brian del Toro used clean lined pieces of furniture and pastel pink highlights to create a simple yet contemporary design.

Wesley Moon

Wesley Moon’s Gilded Age inspired elevator landing design features a feathered mirror by Jonathan Burden that offers intriguing texture to the wall. The striations on the custom made Gournay wallpaper reflects the earthy tones of the pantry and wet bar. The copper and steel tones are wonderful accents to the room that make the design modern and sophisticated. The Bessarabian rug featured in the landing has traditional floral patterns that contrast well with the sleek bench and modern wallpaper. The simple design of the Aubusson in the wet pantry and bar complement the natural tones of the cabinets, and provide a subtle pop of color to the simple yet classy room.
